PPF JEM Application:

1. If possible, remove car parts that could release dirt during adhesion (logos, trims, badges, lights, handles, etc.).

2. Thoroughly clean the vehicle. Remove all contamination from the paint (tar, iron fallout, adhesive residues from protective films used during car transport, etc.).

3. Cover wheels and connect the vehicle to a maintenance power source before starting the application.

4. Minimize dust in the environment and avoid wearing clothes that may release lint.

5. Dry PPF is statically charged after peeling off the backing layer, so avoid allowing dust particles to stick to the adhesive side.

6. Use the correct solution and technique to prevent adhesive damage, unwanted streaks, bubbles, or tears in the adhesive.

7. Degrease the edges of the part to be coated with clean IPA and decontaminate each section with soft clay before adhesion.

8. Spray a light solution of shampoo and distilled water on the part to be covered and both sides of the PPF. Add 2-2.5ml of shampoo to 500ml of distilled water. (Use more shampoo in higher workshop temperatures or for complex parts.)

9. The shampoo solution protects the adhesive during positioning but does not activate it on the paint. It must be washed away with clean distilled water using a pressure sprayer.

10. To stretch and position the material, grip the PPF's edges on surrounding parts and rinse the shampoo solution outward from the part being coated.

11. Carefully squeegee out any remaining shampoo solution and bubbles. Rinse edges with clean water.

12. If immediate secure adhesion is needed, use a solution of distilled water and IPA in a 1:3 ratio.

13. Dry the applied film with a towel and inspect for dirt or water residues under the film.

14. Trim excess material to fold 3-4mm beyond the edge of the part. Fold immediately using a non-woven cloth and a heat gun set to 650°C. Gradually press out all water while heating the adhesive side.

15. The vehicle can be delivered after 24-48 hours, depending on the season.
