Solutions – an essential base for flawless PPF installation

Proper preparation is the key to a perfect result. When applying paint protection films (PPF), solutions play a crucial role. Cleaning and application solutions ensure the surface is perfectly degreased, smooth, and ready for film adhesion – free of dirt, dust, or oil residues.

High-quality application solutions also allow better handling of the film during installation, facilitate positioning, and minimize the risk of bubbles or wrinkles. The difference in the final effect is immediately noticeable – a clean look, strong adhesion, and long-lasting protection.

Using the right solutions is not only about a better result – it is also about higher efficiency, lower material consumption, and a professional impression you leave with every customer.

JEM PPF Application:

• Thoroughly clean the interior. Remove all dirt, dust, stickers, etc.
• Try to minimize dust inside the vehicle during work and do not apply in clothing that could shed lint or fibers.
• Dry PPF is charged with static electricity after removing the carrier layer, so it is important to work so that dust particles do not stick to the adhesive side.
• Use the correct solution and bonding technique to avoid damaging the adhesive and thus prevent unwanted streaks, bubbles, or adhesive tears.
• Degrease the part to be bonded with clean IPA.
• Lightly spray shampoo and distilled water solution on the bonded part and both sides of the PPF (distilled water will not leave stains inside after drying). For 500 ml water, add 1–1.5 ml shampoo.
• The shampoo solution protects the adhesive during handling and positioning of the PPF on the part, but the adhesive will not be activated on the paint. Therefore, it is necessary to rinse it with clean water, preferably distilled, applied again with a pressure sprayer.
• Carefully squeegee off excess shampoo solution so that no residues or bubbles remain anywhere.
• Dry the applied film with a towel and check that there are no dirt particles or water residues under the film.
