Gyeon Q² PPF EVO is a unique ceramic protection designed specifically for protecting PPF films. It is a very easy-to-apply and flexible single-layer ceramic coating designed for all types of PPF films, including wrap films. This coating is designed to extend the self-cleaning capabilities of PPF film, be highly durable, and maximize the hydrophobic properties of any film applied to the car. Gyeon Q² PPF EVO is designed to bond with all modern paint protection films, including self-healing ones. The coating can significantly enhance color on both glossy and matte surfaces without changing the shade. The unique composition of this protective coating containing fluorine-modified polysilazanes makes it the most durable hydrophobic coating for PPF films currently available. The surface remains very smooth after application and subsequent maintenance is extremely easy. Gyeon Q² PPF EVO can be applied to both matte and glossy films. After application, it creates a smooth protective layer without compromising the self-healing ability of the PPF film itself. • Before starting work, watch the original Gyeon YouTube video.
• Never apply the coating in direct sunlight or on a heated body.
• Work in a well-ventilated workshop or garage, never work in a closed small garage.
• Coating drying depends on temperature and air humidity. The higher the temperature, the faster the coating dries.
• For both indoor and outdoor application, it is recommended to work at 15–25 °C.
• Start by thoroughly washing the car with quality car shampoo without added shine or protection (pure car shampoo).
• Decontaminate the surface from fallout, tar, and insect residue. If the film is newly applied, do not decontaminate.
• Recommended products: Gyeon Q²M Iron REDEFINED, Gyeon Q²M Tar REDEFINED, Gyeon Q²M Bug&Grime.
• With protective PPF and wrap films, work with Q²M Tar carefully: do not spray on the surface, but on a microfiber cloth and apply to the surface. Be careful with edges, Tar should not get on them at all (it can etch the adhesive).
• After completing decontamination, wash the body again with shampoo, rinse, and thoroughly dry with a quality drying towel.
• The car must be perfectly dry. No residual water should leak during ceramic application.
• As the last and very important step, perform thorough degreasing of the body.
• For safety, degrease twice using Gyeon Q²M Prep and a long-fiber microfiber cloth Purestar Grass Buffing Towel.
• Then the surface is ready for ceramic coating application. Without preparation, it will not work properly.
• Before application, put on protective rubber gloves.
• Shake the ceramic coating bottle.
• Drop the ceramic coating onto the included application sponge.
• Apply in crosshatch motions to a maximum area of 50 × 50 cm (you can also work in circles).
• After application, immediately wipe off the coating with a microfiber cloth, e.g., Gyeon Q²M PolishWipe EVO or Gyeon Q²M SoftWipe EVO.
• If temperature rises, shorten the time between application and wiping.
• Gyeon Q² PPF EVO creates a strong layer, so use an absorbent microfiber cloth. Choosing the right cloth is crucial.
• Work in sections across the entire body.
• Change cloths during application; a contaminated cloth can leave marks that cannot be removed after drying. We recommend 3–4 microfiber cloths for polishing the coating.
• The microfiber cloth must not fall to the ground.
• Ensure quality surface lighting, ideally use a headlamp.
• After application, leave the car for at least 12 hours in warmth and dryness for the coating to cure.
• Do not wash the car for two weeks after application. Rain is fine.
• Subsequent maintenance is simple: wash with quality shampoo, for example Gyeon Q²M Bathe. Everything else without restrictions.
