Depending on quality, every protective film on a car (clear or with graphics) has a limited lifespan, mainly due to aggressive UV radiation. The main culprit for this limited durability is precisely the mentioned UV radiation, which causes the film material (vinyl in case of colored wraps and polyurethane in case of clear film) to gradually degrade. This raises the question of whether it's possible to extend the lifespan of films. CarPro offers a solution in the form of ceramic nano protection CQuartz Skin. CQuartz Skin builds on CarPro's decade of experience in developing, manufacturing, and selling ceramic paint protection. This product introduces a completely new ceramic coating technology, incorporating highly effective UV blockers capable of filtering both UVA and UVB radiation into its structure. CQuartz Skin thus guarantees the highest possible protection of colored and clear films against fading, yellowing, and weathering. However, customers expect a product bearing the CQuartz brand to also provide perfect protection against chemical influences, aggressive cleaners, salt, and above-standard water repellency. • Before applying protection, the surface must be dry and decontaminated from rail dust and tar.
• Do not apply the ceramic coating in direct sunlight or in a heated garage.
• Degrease the surface just before application (e.g., with Gyeon Q2M Prep cleaner).
• Put on protective rubber gloves before application.
• Wrap the soft side of the application block with the included application cloth and apply an appropriate amount of product along the entire length of the block.
• Apply the CarPro ceramic coating to an area of approximately 50 × 50 cm.
• Apply in two mutually perpendicular directions (crosswise) in a thin, continuous layer.
• After application, wait 2-3 minutes until the film is almost dry and the strokes develop a rainbow-like appearance.
• Test drying: wipe a small section with a short-fiber microfiber cloth. If the product smears and doesn't disappear, it's still too early; if wiping leaves a clean surface, wipe and polish the entire part.
• Drying time depends on temperature, humidity, and film type; first test on a small part (e.g., side mirror).
• Use multiple cloths; up to 4 for one car. Cloths must be dry and clean.
• Rotate the application cloth once it becomes contaminated with dust.
• After both sides become contaminated (or when it starts to harden), replace it with a new one.
• Illuminate the surface well with external light or a headlamp.
• After about 60 minutes, you can apply a second (or additional) layer in the same way for higher resistance; more layers are not necessary.
• If unwiped film remains somewhere, excess can be removed within 1 hour using a newly moistened applicator with coating.
• Before first contact with water, leave the vehicle for 24 hours in a dry environment.
• Don't wash the car for the first 3-5 days after application.
• To revive water repellency over time, you can use CarPro Reload.
• Subsequent maintenance is simple: wash with a quality shampoo, such as CarPro Reset.
